It’s not enough to be simply grateful. And it’s not enough to be simply generous…
This morning I’m blogging over at my sister’s 1Love for Christ ministry blog. It’s an incredible (and yet challenging) thought that gratitude is not something we demonstrate 1 day each year during the Thanksgiving holiday. It’s not something that we reflect on and apply even for a small period of time each year. It’s something that we are called to live out each and every moment of every single day.
But it’s not enough. It’s not enough to simply be grateful.
Generosity – radical generosity – is the fruit born out of gratitude.
Generosity is not limited to finances. Generosity is both time, and words, and giving of self, and personal energy, and money, and possessions… It is anything and everything I can be or do (through Christ) to demonstrate the love of God to the people who are in my life and all around me.
What are you grateful for today – right now? And what does your generosity look like – is it at work right now in the lives of people all around you?
