Week In Review | 7.25.15

From this morning’s devotions – “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30

Right here, right now, in this precious fleeting moment … How will I choose to live my life fully, humbly, all for Him? Even that when others look, they see not I, but Christ – in me. β€

It is an overwhelming thought to consider that I must live every moment, of every day, of every year, following Jesus – seeking to have the heart of God. And yet I am reminded that right here, right now – in this very moment – His grace is sufficient and His strength is perfect.

Live this moment – right now – fully for Him. And then again… And again… His mercies are new every morning!

Beautiful rain and thunder.

Sick days are for sitting on the sidewalk, soaking up sunshine and drinking fruit smoothies for lunch… πŸ™‚

After a week away at camp, our garden was overflowing with an abundance of fresh produce!

Cleaning days …

One brother fractured his foot, so we started treatment with Deep Healing Herbal Soak, Deep Healing Oil Blend, and Sore Muscle Salve.

More vegetables … we are thrilled to have fresh tomatoes coming in now!

A dear friend shared her favorite refrigerator pickle recipes … perfect timing for our abundance of cucumbers! This is the first year that I’ve been able to try pickling, and going on several recipe experiments.

One evening most of the family went down to a nearby park to launch Jonathan’s rocket – an experimental project he’s been working on for a while, from scratch. It sure was fun to see the thing go up! Needs a little more work, we’ll be back for a 2nd launch! πŸ™‚

I always did love getting mail … and running a store means plenty of it – incoming and outgoing! πŸ™‚

Date night for mom and dad = kids’ night – a family tradition since we were very little is to make Jelly Pancakes {or another fun breakfast food} for dinner. And then we tidy the house and do something fun.

It’s been another great week. With the exception of being sick after camp {still on the tail end of a sore, swollen throat and congestion} and sleeping for about 2 full days {upon returning home from camp}…

Looking forward to another new week ahead! Enjoy this beautiful day. ❀

    • @camuso clan thanks!! Actually, last year was our first year of successfully getting melons that tasted ok and this year they are twice as sweet! It’s been a journey and work in progress with the mulch gardening! One of the best decisions we ever made was to try Paul Gautschi’s Back To Eden gardening.
