Heading North

Slowly but surely, we are getting there! I promise I am fully intending to post pictures from our Adirondacks hiking trip. But while I sort through 4 sets of pictures {and figure out which ones are ok to share ๐Ÿ˜‰ }, here are a few from our drive up to Pennsylvania {at which point we stayed the night and then left in two groups the following morning – headed for New York and New Hampshire.IMG_6166

A quick break to stretch our legs … {siblings} โค

Well, when you have to spend 12 hours in the car {and that’s just the first part of the trip} you might as well let out a little energy right? ๐Ÿ˜€

And then there are those of us who prefer to take every opportunity we can to sleep {if possible of course, not saying that it happens on long car trips with 9 people.} … ๐Ÿ˜‰

For dinner that night we stopped at a grocery store and bought some subs and pizza and fresh fruit to share. This is one way to do it, and it happens to work out really well!

And … this is part of the team that left for the Adirondacks the following morning. Bethy and Iย spent most of the 5 hour drive napping in the back seat {that would be our big green van ahead of us, before we parted ways that Sunday morning}. ๐Ÿ™‚

And … one of my favorite pictures from our time in the Adirondacks. Photo credit goes to David who took this with his iPad!!

{Well worth the 10 miles … guys, I know you can’t really tell but this was quite the climb ๐Ÿ˜‰ and there really is nothing quite like experiencing itย in person!}.
