Kansas: Part 2

I feel terrible about my blogging skills lately {rather, the lack thereof}. But the truth is, my life is a beautiful, crazy mess of unpredictable schedules, 1,000 random categories involved with a homeschooling family of 9 … and the fact that it’s Summer – which means you never do know when there might be an abundance of vegetables to can, weddings to attend, or projects needing attention in the yard …

Do you relate?

I love it. And as sad as it is … that means I may need to neglect my blog at times. 🙂

Because I’m tied up this weekend with some very exciting plans, I thought you might enjoy a few more pictures from my Kansas trip. There are no words to describe just how fabulous it was adventuring out mid-west with my sister … and to be SO BLESSED by these “cousins” of ours.

Enjoy!

A game of army dodgeball … with guests who came into town for a special event. Israel Wayne, his wife Brook and their 9 children, travel around speaking on raising Godly children using Biblical parenting.

One day we mowed lawns and did work on a big farm. The girls had fun filling in holes at the edge of the corn field.

Singing at 2 assisted living homes was a highlight.

On the last day we went to watch a farmer harvest his wheat fields. He was so kind and gracious to allow us to ride along in his harvester, and then to drive for a few minutes and harvest some wheat! What a fabulous experience! We also drove along in the grain trucks to deliver the wheat to the grain bins in town. These sweet people were very knowledgable and taught us a lot about their work.

Sometimes we take random “usies” in the strangest places {like the gas station} …

I ❤ Kansas. I love all the incredible memories we made. And I love these people so much! They hold a special place in our hearts. 🙂

Have a fabulous weekend!
